Peter LeMessurier

Principal Engineer

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, BSME, 1984

Peter was born in Boston, MA and grew up in nearby Cambridge. Peter has 34 years’ experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, mostly working as an in-house engineer for medium to large MEP contractors.

With strong experience in health care, hospitality, food and beverage, and the paper industry Peter has focused on industrial ventilation and heat recovery applications for much of his career. In the 1990’s Peter ran his own design-build MEP contracting firm with 2 engineers and seven electricians, self performing the electrical and controls work and sub-contracting sheet metal, pipefitting, plumbing, balancing, and insulation work. Always passionate about construction management and comfortable in the field with the tradespeople, Peter has over 12,000 hours of field experience electrical contracting and managing MEP projects.

Peter has been a licensed PE since 1990 and currently holds licenses in Colorado and Georgia.

Since 2013, Peter has done over 20 distillery projects.

Peter provides site feasibility assessments, project budget development assistance, complete MEP design documents, construction phase field observations, start-up support and final punch list for all kinds of distillery projects.

His particular passions are energy efficiency, automation and using evaporative cooling techniques for both process and space cooling applications to reduce or eliminate the need for costly compressor based cooling systems.

Peter builds control panels for small jobs when the mechanical contractors are not inclined to do so. His experience estimating and building small, medium and large MEP projects makes his assistance invaluable during project budget development and design.
